XIRKEL: Gay Social Network (for LGBT people: lesbian, gay, bi sex ual and transgender) app for iPhone and iPad

XIRKEL is a new gay social network to connect exclusively with your LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) friends.

The XIRKEL app uses your phone address book to identify all the LGBT people that you know.

With XIRKEL you will be able to:

• Find other LGBT people near you;
• Follow and be followed by other LGBT users;
• See what your friends are up to;
• Chat with your friends and with those who could be more than just friends, and exchange photos and videos with them.
• Read the latest LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) news.

So what’s the difference between XIRKEL and all the other gay dating apps?

1.- XIRKEL does not disclose your exact location to the other users. Instead, XIRKEL shows a list (what we call the "Radar") with up to 100 users nearby. But the order in which those users appear is totally random and a few of them are not even as close to you as you would like them to be. If you want to know their exact location, you will have to ask them. You can send a map with your exact location on the chats.

2.- With the upgrade, you can search users by their name. So if you met a guy called "Rob" on a bar in town recently, you may wanna try the search bar. If he has the app and his username does start with Rob, you may get lucky... -Remember this and dont go funny when you chose your username during the (brief) registration process.

3.- XIRKEL allows you to filter the men who appear in your "Radar" by age, body type and ethnicity. We will include more options in the future to help you find the man of your dreams.

4.- XIRKEL shows you a list with all the people you already know who have downloaded the app. So if one of the phone numbers you have saved in your phone has downloaded the app, it will appear in your list of “Friends” and you will be able to see anything they post in your Wall. But dont worry too much about them being nosey. They wont know how far you are and they wont know if youre online.

5.- You can make your profile “invisible” but still be able to see and follow other users and chat with them. Just go to “Settings” and put the “Make Profile Public” option OFF. No one will be able to see your profile but you will still be able to see other users nearby and contact them.

6.- You can follow and be followed by other users. Just go to their profiles and click on the button to follow them. If you don’t want to be followed by other users, you can disconnect this option in the “Settings” section.

7.- You can have group chats with several users at the same time -only with the upgrade.


UPGRADE:

You can upgrade your XIRKEL account for just $1.99 (or equivalent). Go to Settings and click on "Upgrade" and follow the instructions.
